Guess the Number
A classic deduction game: the computer picks a secret number, and you guess it. After each guess you get a "higher" or "lower" hint. Find the number in as few tries as possible.
The secret number is between 100 and 999.
Pick a digit count, then start guessing!

How to Play Guess the Number
Guess the Number is a classic deduction game. The computer secretly picks a number within a range you choose (1 to 8 digits), and you try to find it. After each guess, the game tells you whether the secret number is higher or lower than your guess. Use these hints to narrow down the range until you hit the exact number. The fewer attempts you need, the better. A binary search strategy — always guessing the middle of the remaining range — is the most efficient approach and guarantees you will find any number in at most about 3× the digit count of attempts.
What Guess the Number Trains
This game trains logical deduction, estimation, and working memory. Each guess gives you one bit of information — higher or lower — and you must hold the current range in mind while planning your next move. It is the same kind of reasoning used in binary search, troubleshooting, and scientific hypothesis testing: narrow down, test, refine. Playing with more digits forces you to think in larger magnitudes and plan more steps ahead. Try beating your best score by using a systematic halving strategy instead of random guessing.
